Apple has doubled the number of accessories that users can now add to the Find My app, with up to 32 AirTags now supported per user.

In an update to one of its online support documents, Apple says users can add up to 32 items in Find My. In addition to AirTag and the third-party Find My network accessories in the Items tab, AirPods Max count as one item, AirPods and AirPods Pro (1st generation) count as two items, and AirPods Pro (2nd generation) count as three items.

It was reported last week that Apple has postponed the launch of a second-generation AirTag until 2025, with it claimed that “Apple retail store back rooms and Apple device storage warehouses are still full to the brim with AirTags,” leading to the postponement of the second-generation version.

As reported by MacRumors, Apple quietly increased the Find My item limit from 16 to 32 with iOS 16 and iPadOS 16, but only now has the iPhone maker made the change official.
